Serious food nom's. Brunch/lunch at Luscious Dumplings in San Gabriel. Very affordable with super delicious melt-in-your-mouth beef tendon noodle soup, some stupidly good pan fried dumplings (fried pork was awesome, napa/pork/fish was almost as good), plus some so-so xiao long bao. An additional order of cabbage/pork/shrimp boiled were also delicious.
It's pretty small inside, cash only, and no, it's not as delicate as Din Tai Fung, but it's also half the price-- and worth every penny. Definitely bad for groups, but hell, if you just want tasty dumplings or noodle soup, it's worth it!
Fosselman's for ice cream afterwards, because it was a hot day. And... oh hell, since when does ice cream need justification?
June hosted a BBQ afterwards; plenty of beer soaked brats and whatnot, plus some delicious Taiwanese sausage, all topped off with way too much beer and Bulleit bourbon.
