UCLA Social Sciences Computing (SSC) summer picnic at Victor Park in Torrance. Great sized little venue for it-- the reserved picnic areas are the right size, just enough parking, shade, grass...
And lots of BBQ pits! Perfect for us to grill up a storm. Bacon-wrapped sausage, hot dogs, chicken skewers, hot dogs, ribeyes, hot dogs, veggie hot dogs, hamburgers... and s'mores! Add in tug o' war, playing catch with the kids, etc. etc. t'was a good time! A bit smaller than usual as some people had to leave early and some were late, but good times all around!
UCLA vs. New Mexico State afterwards. Pretty good pounding given, but still a ton of mistakes by UCLA. sigh. 59-13 is still a pretty good score though. GO BRUINS!
