Dim sum, Awesome 80's, Taylor Swift, and BCD Tofu

Post-Awesome 80's 5k Fun Run (in Pasadena) dim sum at Ocean Star. After a much better run event than the first time plus a cool Darth Vader medal (!), it was off to dim sum, since hungry bellies needed food!

Reasonably solid dim sum, including a packed mass of tripe and shrimp balls. Packed mass meant tons of tripe, which was good, but also not as flavorful. Oh well, can't complain too much! After extra mayo was devoured with the deep fried shrimp ball, so was pai gut (pork spareribs), gow choy gow (not enough chives, though), and lots of other goodies.

Pre-Taylor Swift snack was at Wurstkuche's Venice location, where the traditional bratwurst proved to be quite delicious. A large (groot) fries always hits the spot, too.

Then total madness at Taylor Swift. Something like her 11th sold out show in a row at Staples Center, and while some may not like her singing, she puts on an amazing production, complete with a secondary stage in the rear, lots of rising platforms built in to the stage, and a moving aerial platform to return her back to the main stage. It's quite an experience.

Snacked at BCD Tofu House afterwards. Maybe not the best, but they have tons of parking and combo deals with soon tofu and meat are pretty good.
