Hiking and dim sum

Last-minute dim sum at Sea Empress in Gardena. It's not the greatest dim sum, but when you make plans 2 hours before hand, you suddenly don't become very picky!

Hiked Temescal Canyon loop up to Skull Rock afterwards. t'was a nice little hike, not much water in the waterfall, and plenty of rock scampering. Even crawled through "the hole" in Skull Rock-- Irina watched the rest of us get scraped and bruised as we squeezed through!

Dinner was at Patrick's Roadhouse afterwards; one of the more disappointing meals as of late. It's got great gimmicks inside for the decor, but service was awful (30 minutes and no drink refill? No waitress even?) and the kitchen was so slow, we wondered if they were in the back still chasing down the chickens...
