For a stadium that's held multiple Superbowls, Qualcomm Stadium is one $*(_@#! ugly mess for parking. We wasted over an hour trying to park on the primary parking route 'cause we assumed they'd have adequate parking. Not so, as it turns out. The fliers say stadium parking fills up 2 hours before game time and then from there on out they funnel you into wholly inadequate overflowing parking at Costco and various office parks down the street. >_<
We eventually gave up, hopped back on the freeway, got reoriented, and parked a few exits down at SDSU, which again had no signs saying they were even overflow parking for Qualcomm, yet the Qualcomm fliers said they were an alternate parking area! AAARRRRGGGHH.
'bout the only good thing of the night was that evidently no one else parked at SDSU either, and being the only overflow parking facility east of the venue, the San Diego Trolley was relatively uncrowded for us. That turned out to be about the only good thing the whole night, as Baylor slaughtered UCLA's thin offensive line and a secondary missing a few stars (such as Tevin McDonald) 49-26.
Baylor basically controlled the whole game as UCLA never could quite find our rhythym-- various injuries on the o-line made protecting the quarterback and running backs tough (and Baylor's defense is not a good one!), the UCLA defense was actually decent but had a few containment failures early on... ugh. *sigh*
At least we had good seats, didn't completely (just mostly!) freeze our *sses off in the stadium, and had pretty clear roads on the drive back to LA that night?
