UCLA vs. Arizona
Brunch at Din Tai Fung. It'd been a while, and this was perhaps the first time I've had good beef noodle soup here. Not too many xiao long bao, we focused more on the entrees, which also had dan dan noodles and the pork chop fried rice. Afterwards we hit Half and Half, where the peach yogurt and rainbow jelly was quite good. It was definitely a little odd showing up at Half and Half 15 minutes before they opened!
The Rose Bowl for UCLA vs. Arizona afterwards! Quite a few friends made it, at least four groups of us scattered around the Rose Bowl. Mike, I think, brought his entire family and surrounding clan, he said he had 17 tickets or something crazy in the GA's. Crazy.
UCLA did not disappoint us, either. A packed crowd, 81,673 fans at the Rose Bowl, almost all in UCLA Blue and Gold, watched what should've been a close game against Arizona. Instead of a close battle (UCLA was favored by 3 points), we ended up with a beatdown as UCLA thrashed Arizona 21-0 in the first quarter alone and never let up, ending the game 66-10. Utterly insane. GO BRUINS!!!
And a little weird for some of us die-hard fans who haven't witnessed UCLA give such a dominating performance, let alone an outright beatdown, in years. We don't need to beat down the last three games let in the season, but it would be nice to see us win at least two of them!
