Wandering Los Angeles
Juicy Burger for lunch. Delicious burgers where the 1/3lb meat patty was overwhelmed by the rest of the toppings (!). Suggest ordering the 1/2lb meat patty the next trip. Fresh squeezed lemonade was also high quality. French fries were just a few seconds short of greatness, a little undercooked-- the variety of ketchups and mayos weren't enough to make up for it.
Also the crowd was almost all high school and very young college kids. No idea if this is the usual crowd or not... but man, I felt old.
John Kelly Chocolates was the next stop. Superb chocolates. Sadly, pricey... but clearly shows near-perfection ain't cheap!
Wako Donkatsu for dinner, after finding the line at the Boiling Crab in k-town was ridiculously long (as usual). Tasty katsu, lighty breaded; the real value appears to be the chicken katsu, which is a portion twice the size of the already ample pork katsu!
