Hawaii 2012
Wandered over to the beach in the (periodically rainy) morning, where the family enjoyed some sun and sand in Kuilima Cove. Four (or was it five?) flyovers by USAF C-17's doing low-level cargo drops over the adjacent US Army range were even cooler (at least to me!).
Lunch was at Fumi's Shrimp Farm's new location. Shrimp weren't quite as juicy as the day before, but they were much more tasty. Fumi's evidently is a pretty big operation, with the adjoining shrimp farms and not one, but two shrimp stands, complete with mobs of tourists.
Went on a tour of Kualoa Ranch's movie sights with Jared in the afternoon (thanks Uncle Will!). The ranch is actually fairly impressive with its steep mountainsides and streams, but a serious movie buff would have better appreciated it (Lost, Pearl Harbor, Godzilla, 50 First Dates, etc. etc.). No pictures-- somehow we thought we'd be doing serious off-roading so we didn't pack the cameras. Oops!
Low-key dinner with takeout from Giovanni's Shrimp Truck. Not as good as Fumi's but not bad, and more family time never hurt!
