Mammoth: Day 3
Turns out this weekend was Wooly's birthday weekend... so Friday and Saturday were overrun by families. Strangely, Sunday was pretty empty.
Managed to catch the Burrito Cat for lunch, aka Mammoth's version of a food truck. $5.50 for some not-very-big burritos, but for ski resort food, $5.50 is pretty cheap and not-very-big is honestly about the right size to avoid food comas after lunch. The tri-tip (!) burrito was pretty good, too.
Another run or two down Cornice and more wandering across the mountain. Not too bad at all. Caught Wooly down at the Mill right before we left to mark a successful day!
Dropped Altara off at the airport, the usual stop at Schat's in Bishop, and then the rest of us were one tired bunch on the way back to LA.
Met up separately with Matt, Michelle, Carley, and Mara for dinner at Shin Sen Gumi Hakata Ramen after getting back. Nom, as usual. Lan Lan and Mike were supposed to join us, but the long wait at dinner on top of a long day........ yeah, not so ideal. As yummy as ramen is, sleep is even better!
