Mammoth: Day 2
Blue skies and some of the best snow on the mountain (within our skill level) down Cornice, how could we complain?
One of the runs near Chair 25 (Manzanita?) was a complete rockfest near the bottom, but so long as we avoided that, things were okay. Plenty of thin snow and barely-covered-groomed-ice everywhere in this low-snow year. Still, we made do, especially when we found more nice conditions off of High Five Express.
Dinner was Altara's delicious ghackets und hoernli, then we went outside to view the Moon/Jupiter/Venus conjunction. With Mammoth's high altitude, clear skies, and few lights, it was pretty cool. And cold.
