New York 2011: Day 4: Buffalo & Niagara Falls
Time to start the real reason for the trip, Joel's bachelor party. Back to the very familiar Mineola station with a quick stop at the Station Diner for breakfast sandwiches, then met up with most of the group at JFK for our flight to Buffalo.
Picked up the rental car after a quick flight (and hello rain!), chowed down on beef on weck at Charlie's in Buffalo (for what is essentially a prime rib burger, holy crap those were tasty!), then off to the shooting range to put a few rounds downrange with an AK-47 and a FN PS90. Joel's still capable of nice tight 4" groups at 25 yards despite not getting to shoot very much, and I'm happy to know I'm finally capable of the same. (ok 25 or 33 yards with a PS90 or AK-47 is practically touching distance, but I digress...)
Crossed the border into Canada and Niagara Falls proper via Rainbow Bridge, then met up with the last two members of the group while we were already... uhh... starting the fun. Dinner at a lousy Japanese place super close to the hotel...
