Climbing at Malibu Creek
Power Wall at Malibu Creek, then the usual post-climbing lunch at The Counter in Santa Monica.
Started the day up Power Ranger (5.9) for most of us, while Logan worked on Rolling Blackout (5.10d) pretty early. Power Grid (5.10a) was the poison of choice for people like me who don't climb much regularly, while Bill and Dan threw in a little Electric Eye (5.10b/c) for variety. Most of us actually did surprisingly well considering how infrequently we climb. I confess to starting at the 10b wondering if I should try it, or whether or not I should preserve my fingers and arms...
Completely randomly, ran into Will (Hobbs), Nathan, and Vicky. It proved to be a modestly busy day at Malibu, although after they crushed the climbs we were working on, Will/Nathan/Vicky headed over to Drifter to do some much, much harder stuff.
Lost Michael and Carley about noon or 1pm to real life, while Sophia, Dan, Bill, Logan, Logan's girlfriend, and I proceeded on and on. Eventually the sun beat down and Sophia, Dan, Bill, and I headed out, surrendering to the sun while the others pressed on.
Not that surrendering to the sun and heading to The Counter isn't delicious, delicious surrender. :-p
