Gottsui
A okonomiyaki place finally opened up on Sawtelle? Yum! They do teppanyaki too? Hmm... not sure that's good or not.
There was a lot of fanfare when Gottsui opened, their little courtyard was FULL of flower wreaths congratulating them on their opening. A week or two later we could sort of see why-- they're pretty good, although it's been so long since I had okonomiyaki that my tastebuds may need calibration. The Gottsui okonomiyaki was pretty tasty though, and the beef with roasted garlic wasn't bad.
Service was very good and food didn't take too long, but as a disclaimer, they were only half full when we arrived. Other friends who have come when they were busy said that the table-side disclaimers of up to 40 minutes for food were accurate. Eeep.
