OG Tempura and The Boba Truck
Not too many new trucks in the area lately, but a run-in with the OG Tempura Truck and The Boba Truck?
Hell yeah!
The taro milk tea from The Boba Truck was quite good. Much more to my taste than their jasmine milk tea. Perhaps a smidgen too sweet, but only by a small amount. I still prefer Volcano Tea or Half n Half, but The Boba Truck's fresh brewed teas are quite good.
OG Tempura was disappointing. The combination tempura (shrimp and veggie) was a bit too oily, and worse, it looked like it'd all been deep-fried together, so the thin items were over-done. Yuck. =(
On the plus side, though, the initially expensive prices ($11????) were offset by the fact that the portions were huge. Bring a friend or two if you come and order the combo tempura... and I am also somewhat curious by the more exotic tempura items they had. I strongly suspect the ordinary tempura stuff is pretty boring, the more exotic stuff like the apple fritter might actually be good. Hmm...
