Florida 2011: Day 3: Gulf Coast
Brunch at Cracker Barrel. Surprisingly good, so long as you expect just Cracker Barrel quality and not anything else!
Off to Tampa, St. Pete Beach, and Sarasota afterwards to explore Florida's Gulf Coast side. Didn't spend much time in Tampa or St. Petersburg, but we wandered the Pass-A-Grille Historic District in St. Pete Beach (surprisingly quiet, rather dull actually) before driving across the Sunshine Skyway Bridge to snap photos of the sunset.
Dinner was at Own's Fish Camp in Sarasota, which might have been decent if it wasn't for the fact that the oysters were tasteless. Very disappointing as a result. Evidently finding a good meal in Florida is tough. =(
Turns out the additional trek from Tampa to Sarasota is quite a drive, didnt' make it back to Orlando til well past midnight and almost 300 miles. Oops!
