7th and final leg of the U2 360 Tour. Three years, over a hundred shows, seven legs... set alone was supposedly a hundred million dollars to construct and move around...
Elevation, Vertigo, and now 360 tour. Seven shows for me-- tomorrow's Saturday show would be my 8th and Pearl's probably... 15th? 20th?
Ground through traffic and right past a nasty three-motorcyle, one-car accident on the way to the show. Picked up Emily, ate Costco hotdogs she'd bought, stood in a long line for our GA wristbands as Lenny Kravitz wrapped up. Then. More than 2 solid hours of U2 awesomeness, punctuated by some random encounters with some other random UCLA'ers we found standing next to us.
Some less-commonly-heard songs for us were All I Want Is You and Stay (faraway, so close!), plus evidently for the last few legs they've added Zooropa and bits of Please and Discotheque, among others. They skipped Mysterious Ways and Ultraviolet, but we got Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me. Plus the usual bits to Amnesty International and the One campaign.
So. Good! Even with the setlist changes.
The scary part? Saturday's show was even better than Friday's (today's).
