Bluebird morning at Mammoth!!

Winds had calmed down a bit, but were still raging enough to close the Panorama Gondola much of the day. We got a run up Cornice, which was a bit choppy due to constantly falling snow and wind, plus a run up Chair 23 (which also goes to the top) down Scotty's. The top was an ice-fest but after getting off the windy ice-fest, Scotty's was pretty good. Keep in mind that it's end of May and we're in March conditions, so this isn't really "complaining" per se!

Quite a bit more was open today, so we covered pretty much everything difficult enough to be worth our time between Mill and Main Lodge, but not difficult enough to kill us or send us down ice-fests (ok, that meant Mike covered quite a bit more than Matt and I did, 'cause Mike is quite a bit better...).

Seriously stoked. Fresh snow to keep the surface decent in most spots, soooo much snow, what more do we need?

Well, not eating it at the same spot twice before Wall Street would've been nice. Fortunately I was wearing a helmet. =P

Dinner was at Giovanni's, for pizza (good), hot wings (yuck), and salad (so-so). That said it was still a step up from all the diner food we'd been having. Never did find the burger place we had intended to go to...
