Post-OC Marathon lunch at Brodard in Garden Grove. Amy finished the OC Marathon in 3:58:37 (9:07/mile pace, 360 out of 1658 runners, and an amazing 89 out of 676 women, and 13th out of 103 in her age group!), while I had slightly less impressive 3:55:05 finish (8:58/mile pace, 327 out of 1658 runners, 248 out of 982 men, 39 out of 108 in my age group). We actually did a pretty good job through mile 20 or 23 or so, where I lost Amy...
Nik, as usual, was an awesome cheerleader. I think he caught us 6 times on the course? Amy's got an awesome husband! No idea what he did at mile 25, where all I knew was it was hot and windy and Amy was somewhere behind me-- maybe he even ran the last mile with her? No clue!
After showering and checking out of the hotel, we headed to Brodard Restaurant in Garden Grove for lunch. Spring rolls-- grilled shrimp, and nem nuong (grilled pork patty) are awesome. The egg rolls are good too, and the bun (rice vermicelli) are also pretty good.
Ordered too much food, but that was all good, Amy and Nik had food to eat on the road back!
