Mammoth: January 2011: Trip 2: Day 3
Meadowview Smoked Meat's triple-smoked bacon for breakfast, along with Stephanie's dutch babies. Pretty good, although having never had a dutch baby in my life, I wouldn't know a good one from a bad one?
(Seriously, a what? It was tasty, but how did I miss an entire type of breakfast pastry until now??? Clearly my education must be lacking!!)
Going off of Goldhill (off Cloud Nine Express), Simon crashed... and ended up sliding down on his butt in an effort to find a flat enough spot to put his skis on. Hilarious. :-D
Ran around the backside's (Chairs 13 and 14) runs after making our way over to Main Lodge for lunch-- and seeing another 203" tall snowman from the past weekend's celebration of Mammoth's record-breaking 203" of snow. Pretty sweet. The backside was beautiful if a little icy, but the runs back in the afternoon were pretty awesome.
Issei and Stephanie's curry nabe pot for dinner. Yum!! An Arnold marathon finished off the night-- we watched Predator and Eraser-- plus s'mores!
