post-Christmas, day 2
Lunch with the Melins, then I was going to let Erik go study for the bar...
Sun Bike Shop called, though, and said they'd fixed his bike, so instead we went to Sun Bike Shop and then stopped by to say hello to some familiar faces.
Dinner with friends that night was at Pho Garden in Mountain View, home of the pho challenge-- 7lb of pho in an hour (2lb noodle, 2lb meat + broth). o_0 We were not that crazy, and instead shared the same sized "super bowl" among the six of us, plus some other dishes (garlic noodles with prime rib-- yummy, and seafood curry-- meh...). Amy and Nik, Miki, Erik, and Constant all made it out-- a few others had last minute things come up. Combined, though, the six of us took down the super bowl plus the extra dishes, and I think just three people could polish off the super bowl if they were hungry. Might have to go back sometime!
Pearl tea at Verde Tea afterwards, then a totally random once in a decade meetup with some old, old high school classmates. 'tis interesting to catch up with them once in a while and see random cool things they've done or acquired, like an old school Coca-Cola machine... plus evidently Wendy and Diana are still good friends despite being hundreds of miles apart, so it's always fun to see old friends meet up.
Ended the night with some glamour shots of Duncan the Rabbit. Hey, can't let all this camera gear go to waste!
