UCLA vs. Houston
After a 0-2 start, among the worst in recent UCLA football history, we had low expectations going up against #23 Houston.
Things finally seemed to come together though, as UCLA football won 31-13 in convincing fashion. Well mostly. Defense did well, running game under Jonathan Franklin did amazing... but the passing game was atrocious.
It was also ugly for Houston, losing two quarterbacks (Case Keenum and backup Cotton Turner), although their 3rd-string, Terrence Broadway, looked very good.
On a side note, lunch the day before was from the Phamish truck-- their nem nuong (grilled pork patty) spring rolls were pretty good. Lunch the day of was at Pho Consomme in Gardena (just ok, but that's fine with me), and taking mass transit to Pasadena worked out surprisingly well! Ended the day playing with long exposures as Alicia drove home.
