Erik's visit, day 4
We skipped Boiling Crab (I still need to go!) and went to Cajun Corner instead, for Vietnamese-Cajun style clams, crawfish, and shrimp. MMMMMM!!
As though we needed more food, we immediately went to Banh Mi Che Cali for some ridiculously good banh mi (Vietnamese sandwiches) afterwards. Not only were they ridiculously good, it was buy 2 get 1 free for the deli specials, so for $5 we got three of the best banh mi we've had. Damn!
Huntington Beach pier afterwards. Encoutered the Old World Oktoberfest girls there handing out fliers and doing their best to stop traffic (which they succeeded) in an area filled with attractive people... we somehow made it to the beach, enjoyed the sand between our toes for an hour, and narrowly avoided a parking ticket after a very very brief beer and meetup with Jen and Chelsea at Duke's on the beach.
Shin Sen Gumi Hakata Ramen had an insane line (and two Nissan GT-R's parked outside), Santouka Ramen was closed, so we headed to Taqueria Los Angeles near Constant's place for lengua tacos, scopes, and movies on the 96" screen. Finally met up with Michael again afterwards and went back to Q's Billards for a quick beer. Watched a few beer pong tournament games and watched the little undergrads try to sneak in past the bouncer. Not a bad way to wrap up the weekend!
