Alaska and Vancouver 2010
Dim sum for breakfast at Empire Chinese Cuisine. 33 dishes for 10 people, half of whom were not big eaters... oops! It was excellent dim sum, though, with large individual pieces that further contributed to the massive over-supply of food at our table. Nom nom nom... I could use some of the har gow and shu mai about now!!
Then we hopped onboard a limo bus (I think it was much of the family's first time on a limo-type vehicle of any sort!) for the ride to Canada Place, the cruise ship pier. After some confusion with the baggage clerks, we got everything sorted and through security including 3 bottles of wine, and made our way onboard.
We found cruise ship cabins to be as tiny as advertised, and even though we were stuffed, the buffet was serving lunch. Food was decidedly average at best, but maybe that's just because I've been spoiled in my eating habits. Eventually started sailing away, had dinner in the ship's formal dining room, the Manhattan Restaurant, and after gorging ourselves on too much food, including prime rib, Matt, Jared, and I did a couple of miles around the track...
