Alaska and Vancouver 2010
Off to the University of British Columbia (UBC), via the SkyTrain's Canada line and the bus system. Ended up in the Cambie district for breakfast while waiting for our bus, a very quaint, charming area that was actually pretty nice and modern despite its appearance.
UBC's Museum of Anthropology was our goal, plus wandering the campus. The museum is pretty cool and UBC reminds me sort of University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB)-- spread out, big, flat, lots of nice walkways, and beach access. Instead of heading to downtown or Yaletown afterwards, we headed back to the hotel to meet up with the rest of the family that was just arriving, then had dinner at Mak's Noodle Restaurant. Wandered Richmond afterwards for good measure. I have never seen so many hot pot restaurants in one area!
