Paintball! (and Benihana's)
Paintball at California Paintball Park/Giant Paintball with Amy and her MBA friends.
Lots of sun and running around, eight (?) boxes of paintballs, and a few welts later... we headed back, showered, and headed to Benihana's for their 2-for-$40 steak and chicken special.
We had a private group for paintball, so we got to shoot at people who we knew. (well everyone else did!) Mostly played elimination, plus three games of capture the flag and one of zombies vs. humans. Quite a bit of fun if shooting at your friends is your thing! Our referee, Pablo, was pretty awesome too. Figuring out the arenas-- the tire field, "terminator", castle, hyperball, zombie bunkers (Devils Hill?) ranged from interesting to so-so, but we ended up with a couple of very good games where the last 2 or 3 members on each team would end up stalking each other through the field... pretty awesome. And only one actual casualty.
Dinner wasn't quite so smooth. Benihana in Beverely Hills had serious issues with our reservation, saying they would never have booked a group of 11, they couldn't expand to 13, then people left and we had 10, then they wouldn't give us the special dinner despite confirming it over the phone........ grrr. But our chef was good and the meal was yummy, so it worked out!
