Lunasia + T-Lofts
Lunasia was recommended to us for dim sum, so Dan, Jocelyn, Michael, and I headed out there to try it. Pretty good, but not as good as hyped. With so many other good places to go, I'm not sure it'd be my first place to go back to-- but OTOH, I wouldn't refuse an invite to go there, either!
Then hit the Haiti Benefit concert at T-Lofts in west Los Angeles. Food trucks all over gathered there as well. I think I counted 20 or 25 different ones. The focus seemed to be on food, the lines were UTTERLY INSANE, I never did find the "stage", and I think I only saw 3 or 4 signs or fliers regarding how to donate to the Haiti crisis. =/
Met up with Heather, Justin, and their friends, and tried a few trucks. Slice Truck (just ok), Fishlips Sushi (good- for truck (!) sushi), King Kone (tasty), and Get Shaved (yum, but I was sugared-out by then). Other trucks present included the Grilled Cheese Truck, India Jones, Dosa Truck, Nom Nom Truck, Phamish, Louks to Go, Kabob Express (they had no line. scary. that bad?), Don Chow, Asian Soul Kitchen, Bool BBQ, Calbi BBQ, Vesuvio, Buttermilk, The Sweets Truck (they were almost sold out by the time we arrived), Barbie's Q, Dainty Cakes LA, Del's Frozen Lemonade, Flying Pig, LA FuXion, Willoughby Road, South Philly Experience, and Yum Yum Bowls.
