Mammoth: January 2010 Trip 1: Day 4

It dumped 20" of snow overnight. Two feet in some places. Bluebird day!!!!!

Sadly we were leaving that morning, and I was the only season pass holder on the trip, so I was the only one who got in a few runs to enjoy it. =( They were awesome, at least! =D (Mammoth doesn't sell morning half-day lift tickets =/ ).

I also realized I had completely forgotten how to ski in powder, and hence looked like a massive retard the first two runs. It was worth it, though, and there was even enough snow to ski back to the cabin. WIN.

Did the usual Schat's stop in Bishop on the way back, only this time we stopped for sandwiches for lunch too. Sooooooo good. Pastrami, mule kick, they were all awesome. Things lasted after we got back to LA too; had to take care of the casualty, unpack, and that took so long we headed to California Fish Grill for dinner afterwards.
