Mammoth: January 2010 Trip 1: Day 3

Fresh snow and a nice morning turned into a cold, snowy, blowing-wind-whiteout afternoon. We thought about hitting the top, but 60mph winds sending waves of snow over the top and down the mountain nixed that idea fast. We even looked at not-quite-to-the-top Chair 5, saw wind boiling over the top and engulfing Chair 5, and said forget it. *brrrrr*

It was still a good day. With hot pot for dinner, s'mores for dessert, a few rounds of Dominion for fun, and a roaring fire, it was a great evening, too!
