Peru 2009
Adventures with Renee and Jane
With our Cusco tourist tickets in hand, the six major ruins near Cusco all covered, and a morning needed to switch accomodations, we decided to eat breakfast again at Jack's (final day of recovery!) and then just wander all the museums and other sights within Cusco.
One museum of... something (modern art back to 1800?) wasn't too bad once Rani discovered two rooms full of art that we missed initially. The Museo de Arte Comtemporaneo (contemporary art) was closed (crap!), the Museo de Arte Popular was tiny and a waste of money (even though we'd paid for it on the tourist ticket-- not worth it!), the rest looked only so-so so we didn't bother. We finished up with shopping and wandering Cusco mostly north of the Plaza de Armas, then hit the tour orientation meeting, and an unfortunately lousy dinner...
