Independence Day 2008
Not as low-key a Fourth of July as last year, not by a longshot. Still sadly devoid of good fireworks shots, but oh well... maybe next year for that!
Basically a house party at Billy and Amy's up in Santa Clarita. Friends, tons of food, and lots of games. Texas Hold 'Em, Apples to Apples, and a bit of Mario Kart Wii... no barbequing, with it being 98F outside we had to settle for the oven. Being outside at 9pm at night to watch a few fireworks was still toasty warm, too. Eeeeks. Not as bad as the serrano pepper I ate, though. Somehow we had a surplus of hot peppers, so I munched down on one. Serranos don't normally bother me on the first bite. Now the second bite, though. *ahem*
Cheston, Angie, Kevin, Pearl, Simon, An Thomas, Joyce, Grace, plus a bunch of others whose names I've forgotten were all there. Most of us indulged in pizza, chicken, chips, and Apples to Apples til almost 3am. Plus cake for Kevin's birthday, and Viet's artfully cut watermelon. Fun times. =D
