Kim's visit

Kim was down in Los Angeles for her step 2 board exams. Post-exams, she decided to have some fun, beat around her old stomping grounds at UCLA... Actually pre-exams, Billy, Amy, Viet, Kim, and I did dinner at Midori Sushi up in Sherman Oaks, but I forgot to bring the camera to that one.

Viet, Kim, and I had dinner at Versailles and saw Wanted at the AMC Century City. One of Kim's friends joined us for dinner too-- turns out he's an optometrist and knew a bunch of our other friends, too. Small world. We picked up Carley and ran over to Monterey Park to get frozen yogurt at Nubi and then a late night snack at Garden Cafe. We had planned to run over to The Grove so that Kim could get a view of the LA skyline, but I guess all she really wanted was her fill of tall buildings (which you don't get in Davis), and Century City was enough. =P The massive quantities of yogurt available at Nubi probably didn't hurt, nor did the familiar sight of Focus Center and the memories of all the dim sum? *grins* Mmmm, food...

Last three pics are at Outback with Alicia. Fried mushrooms for the appetizer (great for 4, not so great for 2...). Had a ribeye special (some summer special, Chargrilled Ribeye) that wasn't bad, although the asparagus was overdone to death.
