Car geeks, then UCLA dorks
Better known as a meeting of old time Maxima club members for dim sum, then Heather's birthday at Guelaguetza near k-town.
Hiroshi, Martin and his wife, Jay and his wife, Cheston and Angie, Nabil and his wife, Chris, Jae, Jerry, even Randy and family made it out! Standard yummy food at Capital Seafood. Mmmmmmmmm. Ended up with 18 people, I think? HUGE group. Lots of fun. And to surprise of all the wives/mistresses/girlfriends, we did not end up in the parking lot looking at everyone's cars.
Hit the nearby bakery in the same plaza. Unfortunately, Kee Wah Bakery still can't do dan tat to save their lives. *sigh*
Dinner that day was for Heather's birthday-- Sophia, Grace, and a bunch of us couldn't make Heather's actual birthday dinner, so Sophia arranged this one! We were actually pretty well behaved that night, not too loud or anything. The fact that they had TVs all over the place probably distracted some of us. *grins* Mike and Emily, Tara and Eugene, Sophia, Grace and Kevin, Heather, Chris, Cari, Tim, Carley, Alicia, and a few others made it. Amazingly, most people were actually on time. Kind of scary, huh?
I think we only sang Happy Birthday once, so it wasn't too embarassing.
