UCLA vs. ASU + Billy and Amy's Housewarming
UCLA vs. ASU at the Rosebowl. Lost 24-20... but that's when we found out our 4th string quarterback, Osaar Rasshan, was better than our 3rd string, McLeod Bethel-Thompson... unfortunately going up the #9 ranked team with a 4th string QB is never a good thing. Especially with a coach as incompetent on the field as Dorrell. It was a typical effort for UCLA-- we do well when playing against opponents better than us, we just couldn't pull it off.
Made it up to Billy and Amy's housewarming party afterwards. Beautiful house with a mountain view, pretty sweet-- and empty. They did just move in. *grins* Tasty BBQ, 60" plasma TV for watching movies and video games, plus enough space in the living room, next to the TV, for everyone to crowd in and play Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader.
They had quite a few people there, considering how far away it is for most of us. Even Kevin made it out! Liang and Dian, Simon, Cheston and Angie, Ray and his girlfriend, Farhana, Maggie and Mo were in town too... plus a few others whose names I have forgotten.
