South Korea/China: ICN-PVG + bus to Nanjing
Airplanes and airports, then a bus to Nanjing...
Porridge at Incheon International for a late breakfast, late lunch at Pudong International, then a 5 hour long-distance bus ride to Nanjing.
Contrary to very straightforward Korea, the bus terminal immediately tried to rip off us tourists by trying to charge extra for our luggage. I would have been screwed and had to pay; Grace was able to straighten things out and not let us get ripped-off. Woohoo!
The restaurant at the airport was not impressive, but since we didn't have any real food options available to us until 5 hours later in Nanjing, it wasn't as though we had a choice.
Arriving in Nanjing, the long-distance bus station failed to direct us towards the lobby. We instead wandered out the back driveway and spent the better part of an hour trying to get John to find us and pick us up. Then by the time we go to the hotel and then to the local shopping areas, all of the restaurants had long since closed. Turns out they closed a good hour to 90 minutes before we got there. wtf? No night market even? grrrrrrrr....
Dinner was at KFC. Welcome to Nanjing? :-Þ
