SF Bay Area: Ars Meet and other things
Quick trip up to the Bay Area. Met up with some Ars Technica members at a long-overdue NorCal meet, then mostly hanging around with friends and family.
Had a ridiculously long security line at LAX-- stretched out the terminal door, down the sidewalk, almost the quarter-mile to the next terminal (!), but supposedly they got the x-ray machines working again and cleared everyone through at lightning speed.
Met up with a few friends over the weekend-- but for some reason only three pictures got taken, and only one of them had a person in it. I'm not sure how all these people escaped! Somehow Amy ran fast enough to escape the camera's grasp, despite all the ramen we ate at Halu Ramen for lunch. Her shiyo ramen (was that it?) looked pretty good; my Halu ramen (item #1) wasn't quite as delicious.
Woke up far too early and returned to work far too early the following morning... ugh!
