Wicked @ the Pantages
Wicked at the Pantages in Hollywood. Unlike Wicked on Broadway, which is still sold out after something like 18 months straight (it could be longer, I just haven't checked)... we were able to get tickets pretty easily, and prices went to affordable levels pretty easily.
Missed the first three songs (I won't explain why), but the rest was pretty good. It lacked the easily flow of Avenue Q or some other musicals, but the presentation and quality of the performance were impressive, at least to my amateur eyes.
FWIW, Alicia, Pearl, and I had snacks at a trendy Chinese restaurant/bar a bit NW of the Pantages. Those were tasty calamari rings, but for the money, they should be... the donuts we had later were 1/20th the cost and more filling. *grins* Dessert was at Ice Kiss in Koreatown.. very tasty as always.
