Dim sum
Dim sum at NBC Seafood with Billy, Viet and Thomas. Not bad, but Capitol Seafood is better. It was supposed to be a big group... but... yeah. Oops. We were hungry, so we met up anyway!
Then crepes on Sawtelle with Frances, Patrick, and a few others whose names I have forgotten (again. sigh).
Unknown to me til I showed up that Saturday night, they were planning on going to dim sum the next day. Ocean Star. I ended up very full of dim sum that weekend. YUM. Service was a lot slower than usual at Ocean Star, we ended up seated in the smaller area near the front rather than the main area in the back. Doh. Still, once we grabbed a few carts for our pai-gut, cheung fun, har gow, shu mai, dan tat, lowboc gau, gai lan, and all that good stuff... yum. Happy stomachs!
Last few pictures are out with Pearl, can't remember why we met up, but it involved Pinkberry and chili cheese fries from Jose Bernstein's in Westwood. I suspect it was to see TMNT, which was amusing but probably much prettier in a theater with a high-resolution digital setup.
