Nick and Emily's Wedding
Nick and Emily's wedding.
Despite my careful planning and padding of the trip, allocating two hours for what should have been a 35 minute drive, we ended up procastinating and stalling enough that combined with a bit of traffic, caused us to miss the ceremony itself. Whoops.
The reception was at The University Club in Pasadena. Very nice yet informal, with no assigned seating and an open bar, plus a wedding cake that resembled the Leaning Tower of Pisa by the end of the night. (that was probably not intended...)
While the shock of Nick (and Emily) finally being married is beginning to wear off, hearing Nick talk about "his wife" still seems strange.
A large fraction of the people present are members of the Sierra Madre Fire Department; the people who were with us for Nick's bachelor party were some of the few that Dave and I knew. Interestingly enough, Alicia was able to have two conversations about satellites at the reception. *grins*
