Tick Rock and Doug's Birthday
Rock climbing at Tick Rock in the morning, then Doug's birthday at Bobby McGee's in the evening.
First two pictures are from dinner at Hakata Ramen (Shin Sen Gumi) with Yaz from Ars Technica. Remaining pictures are rock climbing at Tick Rock with Bill, Alex, Katherine, and Greg, then Doug's birthday, then a few pictures from Kean's visit.
The initial plan was to go to Stoney Point to rock climb. Upon arriving at Stoney, we found 50 knot winds. Yikes. Umm, uhh, errr, no, we're not actually that crazy. We went to Tick Rock instead, doing the ugly 5.6 on Suicide Rock, then the 5.8 that has completely changed at the base as a huge flake has come off, then a 5.10d newly developed on the far left side. Pretty sweet.
Doug's birthday was at Bobby McGee's, a place where the staff all act as characters (Elvis, for example) and not only serve your food, but sing and act. And embarass customers, as evidenced by the pony ride. Good company, tons of fun, rather average food. Oh well, you can't get everything, can you? *grins*
Afterwards was ice cream at Doug's parents place. No pictures, sorry.
