Wine Tasting, take 2
Plus turkey, moving, and stuff.
Dinner with coworkers. Yes, I saw way too much of my coworkers this week-- 6 days out of 7!
However, Caroline and Be (sp?) were willing to cook a turkey and stuff, so heck, why not. I arrived 45 minutes late and was still the first one there. Eeeks. Eventually Jarett, Rosyln, Ryan, John, My, Sam, and others showed, but that was still kind of unnerving standing outside knocking on the door, hoping I was at the right place! Hmm it's awfully quiet... Everything worked out at least, although Cal failed to beat USC. With Be and My, we also beat everyone else at Cranium. Woohoo!
Then off to my second Wine and Cheese party of the weekend, for Thomas' birthday. This was much less arranged and... well, planned. It seemed like a good excuse to show up, eat a mound of cheese, and drink, be it wine, hard liquor, or beer. =D And dressing up semi-formal as the evite said... HAH! It seems that half the crowd didn't get the message. *grins*
As it turns out, half the crowd was from LCC, and they had unexpectedly relocated their party to Thomas' place, so half the crowd "not getting the message" suddenly made sense. heehee...
Contrary to the massive time normally spent playing video games, people were actually pretty social this time around. Billy even brought a few cigars, so half the guys got to reek of cigars that night. Doh. Some impromptu wrestling also went down, along with a live recording by the band Thomas' Apartment. Well, most people: further exploring found a new LCD TV, an Xbox360, and two people playing Gears of War in one of the back rooms.
Somehow we woke up- after going to bed at 3am- at 8:45am the next day to help Angie and Farhana move. That was an all-day affair. Ack. We moved far too many couches and desks that day. And moving a refrigerator up stairs was not my idea of fun. Lunch was at A&W in Huntington Beach, and dinner was TGI Friday's, so we were taken care of after all of this moving. Doubtless to keep us healthy so we can all help each other move again in the future. *sigh* hehehe...
