Free Museum Day: LACMA
Free museum weekend in LA County, so Justin, Sophia, and I went to LACMA to see the glass exhibit. Literally, carved and blown glass artwork. Evidently there's never been an exhibit dedicated to glass, so this was a big deal.
As I had never been to LACMA before, we also stopped by the Japanese pavilion (pretty cool), which had a surprisingly comprehensive selection of Japanese art, from armor to scrolls. I want to say 16th-19th centuries, but I can't remember.
Then we did cartwheels on the lawn (I failed miserably), then off to Pasadena for dinner with Doug, Donna, and a bunch of others. Complete with dessert afterwards at a place further down on Colorado. YUM, as evidenced by all the dessert pictures.
