Hiking Mt. Wilson
Mt. Wilson, Kenyon Devore Trail to West Fork Campground.
Well, after we circled the top of Mt. Wilson for a bit, going around the many radio antennas trying to find the parking area.
9 miles and 2800 feet elevation. Nice and shady and downhill on the first half. We hang around for maybe 20 minutes, then Bill and I head back up. Not far from the bottom, we run into Frances, Patrick, and one of their friends on the way down. Woah, cool!
Heading up, though, sucks. It's all uphill, and while it didn't feel like 2800' of elevation on the way down... it most certainly does on the way up.
We do finish in the expected 4 hours, so that hopefully means good things for San Gorgonrio in two months, which is double the distance and double the elevation gain.
