Fourth of July 2006
Week's worth of fun in pictures.
Well, sort of. Some days didn't get much in the way of pictures. Didn't get any pictures from inside the shooting range and san Francisco trip from Friday, or from Ryowa Ramen on Thursday... but ah, close enough.
Lunch with Pearl at Himawari Ramen... hard to say what was better, Ryowa or Himawari, but both were extremely tasty. I still prefer Hakata Ramen (Shin-Sen-Gumi) in Torrance, but the discovery of additional tasty ramen places is always delicious!!!
Next set of pictures is from an Ars Technica meet at Angel Island. Bit of hiking, the rest of the group did some biking, too. We planned the meet with "bring your own food". Turns out I was the only one who brought food. =P Dinner at Thai Time near the Presidio afterwards-- pretty good.
Lots of random wandering with other friends-- not much in the way of pictures this time around, since we just hit the usual stomping grounds.
Then... back to Los Angeles on the morning of the 4th, and to Barry's place with his tiny little barbeque. Haven't seen Jason in a while, so it was good to see him. And the steak we had. (the ribs, unfortunately, died). After that, things were wrapped up with fireworks watching at Alicia's boss' house in Redondo Beach. Split-level house with a roof deck. Very, very nice place.
