K-town with Jianhui and Kean
Jianhui's fiance, Kean, came to visit. This was a social occasion, so korean BBQ and dessert were in order!
Korean BBQ. Then dessert at Ice Kiss next door. As usual, we proceeded to try to eat ourselves silly with delicious food. It's so close to Sophia's place it's amazing we don't eat there more often. (although that's probably a good thing, too!)
Then we compounded the problem at Ice Kiss, whose shaved ice, ice cream, candy, and red bean desserts are huge. We ordered the two-person version, and as the pictures show, it was plenty for 5 people. Not shown in the pictures is the three girls behind us who had the four person one, which came in a punch bowl that looked massively full.
Jenga pieces uneven with use and sticky with sweets made for an interesting game. =) We had only a small tower, though: we found additional jenga pieces only after we were done eating!
Sharp eyes will notice we were served with a dog dish to hold our dessert.
Following pictures are the next day... waiting in line at Universal Citywalk for KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas Night 2 tickets with Annie. Several hundred people there in one of the side parking lots, waiting for numbered wristbands to be randomly handed out and drawn, then for the numbers to be called to get tickets. Probably... 600? Maybe more?
They called us up in groups of 20 numbers as the 6:00pm timeframe rolled around. Not sure how many got tickets, but definitely only a minority... we ended up with one pair, which is better than going home empty-handed! Annie clearly looks happy we've got tickets. Or psycho. Was there something funny with the air in the metro station? Maybe it's just excitement!
The odd pictures following are playing with the camera, pointed at windows, in the middle of the night.
