Experiments in Partying
Constant, his roommates, and the apartment next door threw a party.
It was an experiment in inviting people from MySpace. Invited over 100... I think maybe 3% showed up. At least tht 3% brought a few friends, but still... yikes. Bak in college we expected a 50% flake rate. Knowing that this was online, I think Constant and friends were expecting a 75% flake rate. 97% flaking out. Youch!! Things went well enough, all things considered. Despite some weirdness, too. o_O That's okay, we survived. Partying in Orange County clearly has yet to reach the peak that was some of Constant's better parties in Berkeley, but things here are still in their infancy!
Fun times, at least, particularly since plenty of friends showed up. The extra people from MySpace would have been nice, but the crowd, friends and random people all the same, kept the party going with loud music, hookah, beer pong, foosball, and alcohol until 4am when the cops showed up and shut us down. *grins*
The next morning we all got up and tried to arrange breakfast. With so many people new to Orange County, we failed miserably. Constant, Marvin, Marvin's GF, and I escaped to Cerritos for dim sum instead. A massive breakfast outing would have been cool, but alas, it was not to be...
