Tourist

Hollywood, aka, that little corner of Los Angeles I visit maybe once every two years.

I think the last time I went was with Diana and her friends almost three years ago. Only that time was at night; in daylight, you can see much more of the Walk of Stars and Mann's Chinese Theater, plus the other, somewhat-less-famous sights along Hollywood.

This time was with Joel and his friends, Pat and Scott. Pat and Scott are new to the mass of humanity called Los Angeles, so the obligatory touristy things were done. We did manage to squeeze in a bit of dim sum at Sam Woo Seafood in San Gabriel before heading off to Hollywood, so that was good. Wandering around Hollywood and Highland was interesting, although not quite as much fun as I had remembered. Evidently the charm wears off after just a few visits.

The last three pictures are from dinner at Barney's Beanery on Santa Monica's 3rd Street Promenade. Alicia's going-away-for-2-months dinner was held there, with Rex, Alexis, and three others whose names I have forgotten. =( Nice little meal, most of the guests exploited the fact that Barney's has TVs everywhere to watch.
