Yep... Elaine came to harass us again. Well, she and her friends came down on Friday, met up with another friend from Riverside, and then Barry went clubbing with them. They forgot to call me. =(
Actually that was ok though, I was down in Long Beach on Friday night. =P
Saturday, Elaine and her friends are supposed to head over to Riverside, but they decide to stay in West LA. I packed up and drove over, not knowing that as I left, CHP was shutting down I-10W in Monterey Park. What should have been a simple 35 minute drive became a 3 hour plus nightmare to go five miles through the jammed parking-lot-we-called-a-freeway, then another 30 minutes to thread my way through downtown surface streets and back to I-10W. Ouch.
After being stuck in traffic for three hours, I arrived to a session of Texas Hold'Em. A nice long session of Texas Hold'Em, puncutated only by a 7-11 run for nachos and beer. Mmmmmm. Yummmy. Oh, yes. We ran out of beer a few hours later, so instead of playing Kings Cup for alcohol, we ended up doing pushups. Don't ask. As for Hold'Em, I forget who won, but it definitely wasn't me! We scattered to various places on the floor and passed out, then the next morning we headed up to Sherman Oaks for pho. More yummmy.
Elaine and her friends went to Beverly Center afterwards before heading back to the SF Bay Area, while Barry and I both ended up doing our own thing. That cursed work thing awaiting us on Monday kind of sucks...
