October 24-26, 2003 Lots of pictures... First seven are from Knott's Scary Farm with Sophia, Mike, Bej, and Tara. Tara and I had never been there, and it was probably pretty fun, although it was very, very crowded and filled with high school kids. Watching other people get scared was probably the most fun! *ahem*TaraandSophia*cough* They did get me twice-- hiding behind trees OUTSIDE in the park itself was pretty clever! Since Sophia's parents' is near there, we all drove to Sop's place and then had Sophia's little sister, Annie, drop us off. The "hi mom!" jokes were hilarious, particularly Sophia's "that must have been a long labor" comment. (don't ask...) Next set of pictures is from UCLA vs. Arizona State the next night at the Rosebowl. Dave flew down for an interview and stayed through the weekend to hang out. UCLA won, 20-17-- excellent game compared to the horrid piece of crap we attended a month ago (UCLA vs. Illinois, we won UGLY 6-3). Dave, Alan, Nick, and Lee... Sophia, Mike, Bej, and a few others were there too, but we never did meet up with them! Last set of pictures is with Joel and Tracy at Zuma Beach in north Malibu. Only we forgot about the fire in Simi Valley. oops. We were at the beach for 90 minutes before the smoke filled in the rest of the sky, then we tried to head back to West LA... only to find PCH closed a few miles south of us as CDF and LAFD fought a new fire before it grew too big! We had to wait in traffic, then turn around and take Kanam Canyon Road (sp?) to 101 via Thousand Oaks and stuff. At least we took the time to meet with Joel's friend Guy in Thousand Oaks and grab dinner at Cheesecake, salvaging what was otherwise a horrible return trip to West LA!
