Exploring LA w/UVa... Barry and I have clearly given up on sleep this week. School, projects, work, car stuff, and finally having visitors (aKDPhi) to entertain from University of Virginia means sleep gets pushed to the back burner. The fact that this is my last quarter at UCLA also means I feel obligated to have as much fun as possible, so I'm willingly pushing sleep to the back burner... On campus today was TBS (or was it TNN?) filming a college-themed show. I'm not sure which one it was, but if you see it, I might be a smudge in the background cheering for UCLA. Off to Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles with the visitors... plus Barry, Nicole, and Brian, as usual... yummy waffles and fried chicken. Mapquest screwed up our directions so we got to give the girls an impromptu tour of Los Angeles, too. For perhaps the first time ever, when everyone pitched in cash for dinner, we were NOT short on money. Wow. Mounds of butter, syurp, and fried chicken... ooohhh... (food coma) Nicole packed up to go home for Memorial Day weekend (Nicole, Alice, Sophia, and freakin' almost everyone else is gone this weekend). Chilled at Barry's place while he picked up Karen, then off to Muse to go see Bonnie and introduce some of the Virginia girls to soju and to Bonnie's impressive selection of mixed drinks. We played plenty of drinking games after finishing off two pitchers of soju in under 30 minutes (8 shots each for those who are counting)- something involving hand motions- I have no idea what it's called. We met Andrew (one of Barry's LPhiE bros) there as well as Bernier (sp?). Reorganized the carpool, then headed off to Malibu beach for a midnight walk on the beach. More pictures and plenty of walking on the sand, although only a few people got wet and we had to avoid the rocks. Oops. The girls started singing, too... plenty of Backstreet Boys, Linkin Park, and N*sync from what it sounded like, plus a little school spirit thrown in... Got back around 3ish. Alpha Kappa Delta Phi National Convention is tonight, and for some stupid reason the hotel arrangements this weekend are in Irvine, but convention tonight (Friday) is in Burbank. o_O Now to find some sleep... Let's see if I can get the names straight: Left to Right: Ginny, Kim, Katrina, Helen, Karen, Amy. Video:
