Constant's 23rd Birthday Goodness, we're getting old! First milestone was 18, second was 20, third was 21... man... by the time the majority of my friends and I are 23, we'll all be graduated from college with our bachelor's degrees. Ah, well. We're still young enough to party. =D Erik and I read Constant's e-mails, talked to Constant a little bit beforehand... and headed up to Shalimar in San Francisco to meet the rest of the group and enjoy his birthday dinner. Turns out we'd left even before Constant had left, so Erik and I stopped off at Best Buy on the way, and still had time to bump around Union Square beforehand. The timetable for the evening started off by getting blown away, parking near Shalimar was scarce and the plan changed to go get take-out instead of eating-in anyway, so Erik and I then promptly got lost trying to get to Tuan's apartment. Evidently my three year old San Francisco map doesn't reflect current roadblocks or something, but we had a hell of a time trying to get to Tuan's place. Finally ended up there about 30 minutes after everyone else, I suspect... Sat down- most on the floor, some on the table- and had some excellent Pakistani food. The alcohol collection was smaller than anticipated, but we got to try potato vodka for the first time... then a rousing game of Taboo. Constant had the hookah, met some old faces from Berkeley, met some new faces... The whole night was just lots of fun!
